I loved this book as it promotes imagination and independence. We especially loved that the main character was a girl who can create the world she wants all by herself. I think this is a great book for older girls to build confidence in themselves that their imagination can take them anywhere. This book, although part of a trilogy, absolutely stands on its own. Since these don't have words, it really leaves the story up to the kiddo reading it to interpret, which is SO COOL for fostering kids imaginations. I loved how the story starts with Dad too busy with work to play with his daughter. He follows her into her world that she has created and they have the grandest adventure. What a great lesson for all of us as parents! My daughter LOVED how the little girl's Daddy came into her world and lived the adventure with her and started planning her own adventure with her Daddy. Great Book and great trilogy. Gorgeous illustrations.
